I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend if you’re in the US. It snowed here all weekend and we have nearly 2 feet of snow now. I shoveled snow four times this weekend. I’m in the midst of making some Christmas gifts and started a tutorial on making poinsettia pins/brooches. Hopefully, I’ll finish that up this week and be able to post it soon. Stay tuned!

  2. i enjoy your blog but feel that the quote does a major disservice to Langston Hughes! it's plagiarism, to be sure. someone stole his beautiful words, mangled them and added them to that photograph. the phrase does not even roll off your tongue the way his poem does!Dreams by Langston HughesHold fast to dreamsFor if dreams dieLife is a broken-winged birdThat cannot fly.Hold fast to dreamsFor when dreams goLife is a barren fieldFrozen with snow.
