Here is the page that I made for Maya for May. Her theme is leaves. And since my favorite leaves are in autumn, that’s what I chose to depict. I used a photo that we had taken in British Columbia several years ago when we were on vacation. I painted with Jacquard fabric paints, and then did a bit of thread sketching and then quilted the whole piece.
Here’s a close up.
Here’s the back. I used a quote by Albert Camus. “Autumn is a second spring where every leaf is a flower.” I am now working on my page for June with the theme of “seashore”. I haven’t gotten very far but hopefully, will get it done in the next couple of weeks.
I think I need to get some jaquard paints.I tried my watercolor pencils and really didn't get the look I wanted. The colors in your piece are beautiful.Debbie
That's a beautiful page in my book of leaves – thank you Ruth. I like the little quote, thanks for including it.
