These two postcards were made from a piece of embellished red velvet. I added brown scrim on the front, then coppery/gold silk fibers embellished from the back. I then put a silk hankie dyed with tea over top and embellished it in. Once that was completed, I free motion stitched over the entire piece. After cutting out the postcards, I had leftover bits which I zigzagged on kind of like inchies. I still have some bits left over so perhaps I’ll add them to something later.
These photos look very blue. There isn’t any blue in them really.
