Crazy Quilted Postcard – sort of

Here’s a postcard that I made like a crazy quilt but done on the machine. The corner pieces with the netting have a base layer of dyed baby wipe covered with threads and gold silk fiber. I then covered that with the blue dyed netting and sewed in a random manner. Then I cut that up and used pieces with other commercial fabrics. It’s more purple than it shows in the photo. Nine more to go!

Back from vacation – two more postcards in the mail!

We got back from vacation (perhaps more photos of that later) and I had two more postcards waiting for me. The first one is by Mary Ann from California. It has an Asian theme with the symbol for lucky. Thanks Mary Ann!

The second card is from Carol from Florida and has a musical theme. You can’t really tell from the photo but the musical note is made from a large black sequin. Thanks Carol!

I have to get back to work on the remaining ten postcards that I need to complete. Then I have a whole list of things to get started and finished. I hope to have more fiber time now that I am taking Fridays off.
