Here’s another rust dyed background with commercial fabrics, FME and machine patterns. Can you tell I like Autumn?

This postcard was done after seeing “Darned Landscapes” on Stitch magazine website. It is stitched and woven with various embroidery threads and specialty yarns. It was a lot of work but I like the way it turned out.

Here’s “Under the Microscope 1” with rust dyed fabric and microscope of commercial felt with stitched outline. I thought it was a bit bulky so for the next one, I did the microscope with free motion embroidery straight on the fabric.

This is “Under the Microscope 2” with rust dyed fabric and FME microscope. I thought the rust looked like an amoeba or paramecium or something you’d see on a slide of pond water.
