Progress

I have been stitching on the paisley book cover and I’ve made a fair amount of progress. That’s mainly because I’m doing chain stitch which is fast and using #5 perle cotton. The heavier thread makes a bigger statement and it really works well on felt.  Smaller stitches and thread tend to sink in and disappear.

I’m enjoying working with these bright colors. Now I have to decide where I’m going from here. I don’t think I have enough thread to cover the entire cover so I think I need to find the book to go inside to see how much of the “front” will be showing.

It takes quite a bit of thread to do the detached chain stitch in between the rows of regular chain stitch.

New Look

I’m jumping up and down and waving madly! Are you there?? I hope everyone has followed me over to my new site here on WordPress. It made sense to me to have everything in one place. Now I have my store site, The Felting and Fiber Studio and Permutations in Fiber all in one place. I am still working on some of the pages here and I’ll be adding more photos and fixing up the tutorial/video page.

I did get a bit more stitching done on the book cover.

It is starting to look more like a paisley pattern. I would really appreciate it if you would go over and like my new Facebook page if you do the Facebook thing. You can find it here.
