I finished the cut back applique. It still isn’t all that exciting but looks a little better with all the stitching and cutting away complete. Advance planning is best with this type of work so you can figure out value changes and color schemes before you start. The organza overlays don’t give a lot of value differences.

Here’s the finished piece. I like the organic lines on the left but that really dark line down the middle bothers me. Oh well. It’s finished!
